The Claw Marks of Ancient Giants, The New York Finger Lakes Region
On the map and from the air it appears as if a giant reached out and scratched Deep North South Valleys across this part of the world.
Some in magnificent long lakes and others in more swampy valleys, like those we at Woodland Management Service are working in on the Tug Hill Plateau.
The well-known lakes that we find in Central New York include; the Canandaigua, Keuka, Seneca, Cayuga, Owasco, and Skaneateles.
The Largest, Seneca is one of the deepest bodies of water in the United States.
Originally the home to The Seneca and Cayugas Indians, it has since been a place of agriculture due to the connection to the Erie Canal and tourism with abundant forests that surround these beautiful lakes and valleys.
