About Gig Harbor:

My family moved to Gig Harbor when I was 13 and it was a fabulous place to grow up. My parents fell in love with the trees and the miles and miles of waterfront. Gig Harbor is a incorporated city founded in 1946.

The whole Gig Harbor waterfront community is accessible 15-20 minutes by corporate jet and about an hour from SeaTac International. 

The population in 2011 was 7145 according to the 2010 census. Gig Harbor is one of several cities and towns that claim to be "the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula".
