Six Ways to Think Like a Champion and Change Your Life
Great advice Dan Dee, I do several of these things on a regulat basis and always work those goals.
IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY A CHAMPION
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being a Champion and 1 being or at least feeling like you are in a deep rut in your thinking, here are helpful tips, suggestions and ideas that can help you move from near one closer to 10.
When you think like a Champion yet you are not quite there, the thinking will help you get there, because that kind of thinking you are using your imagination, and Albert Einstein said: imagination is more powerful than knowledge.
1. Avoid the television, especially the news, CNN, FOX and any channel similar to those. I am currently on day six of no news from everywhere. So I have no idea if Trump or Clinton are in the lead, if they are beating each other, or even if they both are still alive. I have no idea if any new wars have started, or there have been any shootings in the United States since the one at a college in Oregon, or if Congress or the President of The United States have done anything creating positive results for our nation, or done more damage.
2. Read something inspirational, motivational, or educational 15 to 45 minutes daily. From your own personal library, keep a couple or three books from the public library checked out, visit the book store regularly, and keep a couple of books in your car, for when you are waiting at the post office, doctor's office, or other places to help avoid wasting your time.
3. Watch the most watched Ted Talks.
4. Join a Toastmaster club. Visit at least three clubs, first before initially joining one. After three to six months join a second one. I have been a member of five at the same time. In the past five years I have earned over $70,000 in commissions from Toastmaster members who came to me at the end of a meeting and asked me to represent them in buying a home; from me giving a seven minute speech about real estate.
5. Take someone to lunch a few times a year who you believe them to be more successful than yourself. Have at least three questions in mind to ask them. You are there for the knowledge not for feeding your face.
6. Beginning in October plan, imagine, set goals for the next year's accomplishments. Waiting to start in January you are already behind and will be behind for the rest of the year.
