Tuesday Travelogue-October 20th
Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our sixty-sixth week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
Today we are visiting the beautiful state of Washington in our travels across America alphabetically.
One of my favorite bloggers, Debb Janes, always delivers with great videos. I had many to choose from, this one was fun with all kinds of great wildlife and nature abounding.. at Lacamas Park, Camas Washington.
Another completely magical place in Washington state is the San Juan Islands. Rene Fabre, who always spins a great tale in his home in Washington takes us there.
Onto Gig Harbor, WA and a hike at Narrows Park! Brady Howard brings us info and great photos along the 4 hour hike he took us on.
Well, I couldn't talk about localism without giving a shout out to our home of ActiveRain, where this whole thing started for all of us!
This photo of Seattle's downtown area (beautifully done) is what you will find when you go to our "Local Info" page on ActiveRain's site. This is where I find some of the gems that I share with you!
Here is a great explanation as to why I do this weekly blog.
One of the best parts of these local pages is the intimate feel. ActiveRain's membership spans far and wide with the community sharing an insider's look into their slice of the world.
I'm going to end this post with a sunrise, instead of a sunset. Thank you, Paul Henderson as you always brings us inspiration along with your photos of quiet beauty. Please enjoy his quote, too when you visit this post.
Please don't forget to comment on these blogposts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:
