Wordless Wednesday - Rest Easy Granddaddy
Some of you know I lost my Granddaddy last Thursday and to say it’s been a rough week would be an understatement. Grieving is a process and there are ups and downs. I’ve spent some of my time going through old photos, I find it therapeutic. This is one of my favorites, Granddaddy was a master at getting all of us lined up for a family photo but, he wasn't always as obliging when it came time for his photo to be taken. He always had a way of making me laugh, he’d tell me stories about his childhood, falling in love with my Grandmother and their adventures together through 72 years of marriage. At 95 he lived a long and wonderful life and while I miss him so much it was blessing for him. No more pain, no more suffering, and in his words – your Grandmother is waiting for me in heaven, I saw her standing by my bed last night...it’s my time to go.
