This week-end is earmarked for rain but that won't stop us from enjoying Formula 1, UT football and so many Halloween events (including Canyon Creek's Fall Festival on Saturday the 24th)! I know a fun spot to try if you want to stay dry and enjoy some great food and drink and even catch your favorite game!

Draft Pick is, as you might have already guessed, a sports bar. It’s also one of Austin’s hottest spots for good food and drink. They feature over 30 award winning Texas beers on tap, lots of flat screen TVs and the biggest HD screen in TX for added fun while you’re eating.
It’s comfortable and casual with a menu that is packed with comfort foods. Draft Pick defines comfort food as “something that makes you remember. The smell & the taste takes you back to a loved memory – one you won’t forget.” They serve everything from chicken fried steak to their “burnt orange” chicken wings, pizza and hamburgers made with fresh Texas meat. Here is a sampling of their menu:
For starters – Stuffed Jalapenos that are filled with luscious cream cheese in a crispy potato batter served with sweet jalapeno jelly….or try the Cheese Bread - garlic butter spread with smoked provolone on homemade crust.
For an entrée there’s the Ribeye Steak – 10 oz. cooked just the way you like it served with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Or, if you’re in the mood for fish there is the Tilapia Platter – a large, grilled tilapia fillet on a bed of fresh sautéed spinach, mushrooms and onions, served with Jamaican black beans and Mexican rice.
For dessert, there’s ice cream (Blue Bell vanilla, of course!), chocolate mousse cake, NY cheesecake and Root Beer Floats.
