This weekend I spent much needed and appreciated time with my Mother and Sister "Camping". My Mother lives only thirty minutes away so we visit as much as possible. My Sister just moved from Alaska to West Virginia so the visits are more often than the past but a six hour drive.

We decided to get together this weekend and "Camp" with just us girls! Including my only "female", furry friend (Merlot) Hiking, fishing, boating, campfires and lots of yummy food. My mouth is watering thinking about those gooey smores. (Standing stone state park)

During our adventures we came across two snakes, several turtles, wildflowers galore and unforgettable views. A few hours of showers but for the most part we were blessed with warm sunny days. With Spring in it's full glory, Dogwoods and Redbud's painted every corner and everywhere you looked was signs of new life - from baby birds to a single tree sprout making it's way through the forest leaves.

Although we enjoyed nature and all the splendors of camping, Most important we enjoyed eachothers company! Nothing can replace the hours of laughter, giggles and smiles. Hugs and I love you's trailed every sentence and we only continue to bond and grow together as Mother and Daughters, Sisters, Family and Women. We all have busy lives but taking the time to spend with the ones we love is priceless and needed during our lifetime. (Thanks Mom-Barbara and Sis-Tera) This was a weekend I will never forget!  (Our next trip this summer is already planned for Fall Creek Falls, State Park).

Christina, it is good that you had the opportunity to get away with you Mother and your Sister. Cherish them. You only have one Mother. I wish I could just talk with my mother one more time. She passed five years ago. This wasnt meant to be sad. I am truly happy for you. Just cherish her. God Bless all of you. Thank you, Keith

Hey there!

Missed your great blogs!  You MUST take time for yourself...PEACE & FAMILY.  I am totally a family person and it so easy to put them on the back burner in this biz.  That's one think that I will not compromise...they come first.

Glad to have you back & the photos look like I've been there myself.

Have a great week!

Christina - I think Fall Creek Falls is one of the prettiest parks in Tennessee. I've never camped there, but have picniked there several times. And..it's not a camping trip unless you have smores! I can smell them all the way here in Texas!

Christina,

What refreshing pics.  I can't call myself a hiker or camper, but I do enjoy walking around town when the weather is nice.  I love being able to be outside and not having to get on tons of gear to do it.  What great pics you have on your post and it looks like it was a nice time.
