Furry Friends and The Golden Years... (Humor)

By
Real Estate Agent with New Home Hunters of Fort Worth and Tarrant County

As those of us who are approaching our "Golden Years" waddle through life, we are blessed with the excitement of encountering many new activities to both enjoy and cherish.

Those of us with pets can know we are truly blessed with having our furry friends there to share our journey.

Here is just a very small sample of one of the wonderful things you may encounter during your golden years... when having your furry little friends by your sides.

Kitty cats and puppy dogs sometimes lose their teeth, too... so how could anyone fault this furry little lovely for helping herself to dad's chompers to help her eat her kitty chow !

Karen - Up until a couple years ago, I had 3 cats and a dog.  All of my animals were older.  I had a 19 year old black cat, and a 17 year old small persian, that were wonderful friends.  The black cat was the smartest cat I have had.  He didn't like men that visited, and would often immediately go on a hunt, and rack 'em up his game, on the front door mat as gifts for me.  I had a computer tech come to my home, and spend a couple of hours, and when he went to leave, there was a squirrel, a bird or two, a couple mice, piled up on the door mat for the tech to step over as he left.  The cat sat there, looking up at me, as if to say, "I can provide for you better."

Both the black cat, and the persian died within a month of each other.  They were that old, and that bonded.  I still have an American Eskimo dog, and a calico cat.  Both are 11 years old, and great company.

Karen,

Too Funny!  I wonder if the kitty used the poli-grip? ;0)

Michelle:  It does look like a pretty good fit, doesn't it ?  You wouldn't want them falling out while munching on Meow Mix.  Not a good plan.  Take care...

Michelle:  The cat did not use Polly-grip.  The parrot uses Polly-grip.  Get it ?  Polly... parrot... oh well... :)

Brigita:  Very cute smile.  Some kitties like to smile.  Mine occasionally raised just one side of her upper lip... kinda looking a bit like Elvis... LOL.

Great cartoon.  Our Cowboy prefers it if we brush his teeth!  He does have his own toothbrush and toothpaste.

Great story!  I have a 14 year old cat that hasn't missed sharing my pillow everynight for the past 14years.  Thank goodness I'm not allergic to cats!

Don:  Wow... you had to search pretty hard to find this.  Four years ago.  That's got to earn some sort of award... at least an A for Effort.  Thanks so much... I needed this smile tonight myself.  Take care...
