Today is a great day to take a walk up the Chattooga River. This trail is blazed with green blazes. We used the trail on the SC side. We started at the bridge on Burrell's Ford Road and walked along the river for a couple of miles. Easy walk with great views. The fall colors were reflected in the river. The colors shimmered in the current. We crossed a stream before we turned inland to cross the campground to the trail head for Kings Creek Falls. I really ENJOYED our Sunday stroll. Easy walk and a great day to be in the national forest. |
