In real estate neighborhoods in more urban-type settings, you will have cell phone service. You will see open houses. You will not be picking up paper fliers. You will be able to sit in front of a property and call the listing agent. Electronic lockboxes are usually what you see.
None of that applies to Fishhawk Lake real estate!
And that's okay.
We don't have cell service unless you are about a half hour away. Open houses aren't successful unless you are simply wanting to say hi to your neighbors, whom you most likely already know. The good ole fashioned flyer still works here as people drive through the Fishhawk Lake community picking up several to take back home with them (usually at least 90 minutes away).
As to calling the listing agent, well most of those are mine, and I live in this stunning 80%-vacationer-lake-community and I invite people to talk with me face-to-face. My neighbors will often send a potential buyer my way after they've spoken to them on the road or in front of their homes. We're like that, friendly, folksy.
We may not know someone, but we still wave.
Those lockboxes that are so common out in the urban world don't work out here! Most of the time I just keep my own set of keys for quick viewing when someone stops by or they start looking and see more properties that they would like to check out other than the targeted ones.
I also often know who the prior owners were, one or two or maybe even three back!
We may not be the norm, but I'm actually proud of that and for all of the other reasons that make Fishhawk Lake stand out (like the fishing, the privacy, the stunning views,
the QUIET, the clean air, the reasonable prices...I could go on and on.)
So, what does work?
Just call me! IF you're in town with cell service, otherwise, pop by or ask a neighbor how to reach me. Or e-mail me before you take a drive out.
Because I am

to the Lake!"
