I am back! Storm-torn but still standing!

Our island suffered a disaster of epic proportions on 27th August 2015.

Tropical Storm Erika dumped an excess of 10 inches of rain on our island for about almost 12 hours.

Several bridges were destroyed,  and more than 20 people died in the landslide prone community of Petite Savanne where the residents had to be evacuated by boat.

Check out images related to the storm here.  We share some of the progress that has been made so far here.

Keep our island, Dominica, in your prayers as we strive to perservere and rebuild.

November 3rd will be our 37th year of independence. With every hand to the plough, we stand as patriots to rebuild Dominica together.

Hi Jillian La Rocque , When disaster stricks, communities tend to join together for the cause to restore what has been damaged.  Not only will they celebrate their Independence, but they will celebrate it together.
