It’s time again for one of arts and crafts lovers’ favorite events, the Carlsbad Village Faire. The 41st anniversary will be celebrated this Sunday November 1st.
2015 Carlsbad Village Faire takes place, as always, in downtown Carlsbad Village on the north side of Carlsbad Village Drive along State Street and Grand Avenue, and on adjacent streets.
The Carlsbad Village Faire is held twice a year in Spring and Fall, and is reportedly the largest one-day outdoor fair in the country – an impressive statistic for our little seaside town. Carlsbad weather is pretty pleasant at this time of year, and if history repeats itself you can expect a crowd of 100,000+.
The Carlsbad Village Faire 2015 opens at 8 am and will run until 4 pm. With the holidays approaching, you can expect some pretty good shopping with 900+ vendors offering everything you can imagine. The Carlsbad Village Faire is truly a mobile outdoor mall!
Kids and parents will certainly have lots of fun – the Carlsbad Village Faire offers rides, 50+ booths of food of all and plenty of music, including a classic beer and wine garden with live bands and large screen TV hosted by the Rotary Club of Carlsbad.
The Kiwanis Club will feature it’s popular annual pancake breakfast at the Train Depot. And kids can enjoy a super slide, a bounce house, rock climbing, face painting and more.
If you tire of the Carlsbad Village Faire vendors, there are dozens of Carlsbad Village shops and restaurants along State Street, Grand Avenue and Carlsbad Village Drive – probably something to please every member of the family no matter how long you stay in town.
As with other Carlsbad Fairs, parking is a challenge, so unless you have the patience to spend time driving around looking for parking, use one of the 2 shuttles, running from the northwest corner of Sears at Westfield Carlsbad near the 78 and El Camino Real, and the Poinsettia Coaster Station on Avenida Encinas just north of Poinsettia off the 5 freeway. Shuttles run every 15 minutes.
