special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun...That's right! Remember?

That being said.

This is about your schedule as a Realtor.

Or maybe...

I mean, I remember when you got change for a dollar when you ordered a special burger at Mickie D's!

Now, you don't get change for a $5.00 bill...

How many times are you so busy showing properties...the appointment last's way longer than anticipated (this is sometimes a good thing - perhap's a contract) and you are starving.

Do you stop for fast food? Do you keep a small cooler in your car with water and some snack's for your customer's when the appointment goes long?

I do!

You never know if you are with a diabetic, a customer who thought as you did...showings...and is starving...

Would they leave the appointment with you in search of food???

Or, if you have some ice cold water and a few snacks, could you sustain them long enough to make a deal?

What's your take on this?

If even they don't need or want your drinks and snacks offering makes the impression you are loooking for anyway.  Good tip!

Well, I'm a border-line diabetic, so all that happens to me is I get light-headed and nauseous when I miss my groceries.  But it makes me aware of the things you mention.  I carry a "goody-bag" with me at all times and I always offer to share.  Keeps things on an even keel!

That is a real good idea and I'm sure comes in handy to fill a hungry tummy. I know I get a headache if I'm hungry and don't eat.

Dick,

It really help's sometimes.  I know as I am hypoglycemic and sometimes need a snack, then again, sometimes a diabetic need's sugar...I have candy in my car as well. In FL, it's hot and a bottle of cold water help's sometimes too! Good to hear from you...

I always bring water and drinks in a cooler.  I'm in a warm climate and everyone needs to hydrate.  I usually have snacks especially if they bring their children.  I try not to make my appointments longer than 3 hours, but sometimes they run over.  I avoid all day showings with one client.  They get tired and they lose their focus looking at too many properties.  Good post!

Jim,

It also keep's my ice container with new ice by the time I get home...I see you are also in Florida, this is especially good in the summer when it is hot.  I find that it's just as thrifty to buy the bigger bottle's of water than the tiny ones.,for a few cent's more.

Sean,

I alway's have a zip lock bag of pretzels in my car.  I also try to have at least enough water plus one more for the people that I am showing property to...it's hot here on occasion as you know. I also have candy...never know when you have a diabetic with you.  I have a medical back ground, so I've seen situations go bad quick...

It's just a good thing...:-)

Not a bad idea. Never thought of it before. It's true about stopping at the fast food joints, not good for the wallet or the waistline. lol

I don't keep them in the car, but I keep it stocked up at the office and offer it before heading out all the time.

Jeremy,

I worked in the medical field my entire life until I decided to persue my passion and sell RE.  It need's to be with you...not at the office...crises happen unexpectedly, most often.  Most people who have a crises, never see it coming.

I really think it would be a good idea for all RE agent's to have CPR training as well...my next blog...stay tuned.

hey and thank you for posting on my blog.

I always keep snacks and water in my car.  If not for my clients, then for me.  I'm constantly asking clients if they are hungry or thirsty.

Seeing your Big Mac verbiage cracked me up.  I rarely eat fast food - not cause it's bad for me - I just don't care too much for it.  But one day last week I actually had a Mac Attack.  I could't get to those Golden Arches fast enough.  LOL  I've now satisfied my fast food craving for a while!

Karen, Currently not in the real estate business but I am a cooler packing gal. I always carry string cheese, apples, and water (2 bottles out of the six frozen) elimates the need for ice and as they thaw abit you have ice cold water. Nothing more refreshing when it gets so hot and humid here. Besides, who can afford that fast food junk, let alone eat it? YUCK
