Technology
-In today’s world, people are most likely to read material online, so marketing a house using the latest technology advertisements (Trulia, Zillow, Realtor, etc) is beneficial for bringing in buyers.
Signs
-About a week before the event, update the “For Sale” sign with an “Open House” sign.
Educating Sellers
-Ensure that your seller’s are fully knowledgeable about the pro’s and con’s of having their home held open. It is important that your client’s don’t have false expectations of getting a sale that day.
Contact Information
-Collect the contact information of visitors by having them register/sign in. Not only does this help from a safety perspective, but it gives you a way to add contacts to your database!
Be Different
-While most open houses are typically on Saturday or Sunday from 1-3, try having one from 3-5 or on a weeknight. This rules out competition and might bring in more clients!
Does anyone have any think out-of-the-box tips for how to run a successful Open House? We would love to hear them!
