Alexandria Virginia is home to over 150 thousand people
Tourist come from all over the world to see Old Town
Alexandria founded in 1695 along the Potomac River
Alexandria Virginia is seven miles south of Washington DC. Like many cities in Maryland and Virginia, Alexandria is shaped by Washington DC. There are government agencies and businesses that do government contract work in Alexandria.
Old Town feels like a step back in time.
Many of the buildings were built in the mid-1700s.
Alexandria is compact and walkable. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes since the streets are mostly cobblestone and brick. Charming to walk on but ruff on a good pair of heels!
There are three metro stations Braddock, Van Dorn and King Street Stations. It's about a 25 minute walk from King Street Metro to the waterfront. The King Street Trolley is free and a popular mode of transportation up and down King Street.
Home prices in Old Town start near a Million for a town home.
Outside of Old town, single family home prices start in the upper 700's. If you're interested in living in Alexandria Virginia, consider working with Exclusive Buyer Agents.
