Daniel Silva is my favorite author, his attention to detail; he draws me in from the first page. He is the author I hold and compare all authors too. I am just sad he only writes one book a year because he truly does all that research. The Heist is the series of Gabriel Allon. His friend Julian Isherwood who has helped the “office” has stumbled upon a murder in Lake Como, the dead man is a British Spy. Gabriel must find out who killed the spy and why. The British Spy has been dealing in trafficking stolen masterpieces. The story takes you into the world of the dictators of the world as weaves in the stealing of the old masters. This tale takes you from the cold winters of London, Marseilles and the island of Corsica. It is a must read for those who like spy thrillers!
