Time Change Blues!

 

Yesterday's time change back to "normal" gave us back the one hour we had to give up in the Spring to "save daylight."

I really enjoyed my "extra" hour yesterday and it seemed the day went on forever.  What I don't like is that it's getting dark at 6 pm now.  

Nevertheless, it was a beautiful evening for a walk.  Enjoy the evening sky across the wetlands in Hernando Beach, Florida.

Yeah, I have the blues too. Yucky dark evenings. I wish it would leave it all year.

Silvia - We don't recognize the time change here in Arizona, so it is getting dark here around 5:30pm now.

I love that extra hour of sleep that comes with the time change, but generally loath the dark evenings.  However, this time it seems a little easier.

I don't love short days.  But in about 6 more weeks they will start to get longer. I was late this morning (not for an appointment, but just getting to work) because the time change justs throws me off my game.

It is getting dark in the afternoons at 5pm here. I don't like that at all but do like seeing the sunshine in the mornings.

Silvia, i do not like the early dark either. It certainly is not as dark now obviously when I go to workout at 6:20 AM and that is a positive.. time chamge has plus and minus aspects..

William Feela the time change actually causes me to wake up and get up earlier. I just don't like it to be dark this early.

Lou Ludwig  I don't enjoy driving in the darker neither. 

Troy Erickson you are lucky that you don't have to lose that one hour in the Spring.. it takes me weeks to catch up. 

Noah Seidenberg I don't think so. I don't get where there is anything saved. You either turn the lights on earlier in the morning or in the afternoon. Same difference.

Myrl Jeffcoat I actually go to bed a little earlier now and still get up early because my body hasn't adjusted yet.  I got a lot of stuff done the day we changed the time because I got up as usual. 

Tammy Lankford  I haven't met anyone yet who loves these shorter days. I can't wait until they start getting longer again.

Debbie Laity  thank you. Maybe it was the game that kept you awake! 

Joe Petrowsky I guess we have to take it as it comes. The sun will rise and set on its own schedule. 

Debbie Reynolds The funny thing is that I haven't really noticed a big difference in the mornings. I tend to stay outside longer in the afternoon or evening rather than going out before daylight. 

Robert (Bob) Gilbert I think as Fall and Winter progress, it'll stay darker in the mornings longer as well.  

Rebecca Gaujot, the Go To Realtor® Yes, I don't like it when they take that hour in the Spring so I thoroughly enjoy it when we get it back in the Fall!

Joan Cox that's me, I got up at 6 am this morning whennit was still pitch dark. All   summer long I didn't get up before it was light out.
