Calling on my ActiveRain friends for help!
In January or maybe even February of 2006 I attended a Real Estate seminar presented by the Dallas Learning Annex at the Reunion Arena in Dallas Texas. I was very excited because the guest speakers included Tony Robbins, Donald Trump, and Robert Kiyosaki to name a few.
Other than seeing Tony Robbins on late night infomercials and in Shallow Hal I didn't know much about him. I was pleasantly surprised when he came out on stage. In true Robbins form, he got the crowd clapping and jumping around in no time. The energy he emits is amazing!
He started talking about how people respond to your energy when you greet them. As he was talking I was staring straight at his eyes. He was walking from one side of the stage to the other but for some reason I felt he was looking right at me. I was thinking, "Gees don't be so full of yourself. There are many people here. What makes you think you are so special that he would be focusing on you?" Then I thought, "This guy is good. I bet everyone here thinks he is looking right at them."
The most amazing thing happened. His voice got louder as he was talking about greeting people like they are your long lost friend or lover. He suddenly dropped the microphone and jumped off the stage. He ran through a crowd of people. He picked me up in the air as if picking up a baby out of a crib. He kissed me all over the face and neck in a very excited way! I was obviously flabbergasted. I briefly caught a glimpse of myself on the jumbotron because the whole thing was being filmed. It was very surreal and wonderful at the same time.
He changed my way of thinking and changed my life in many ways. I started working out more because I thought I could have been a little lighter. I started looking at things in a more positive way with more enthusiasm. I was looking forward to accomplishing my goals and set a bunch of new ones. Also, if you had met me you would have heard this story in the first ten minutes of my greeting for the first year after it happened. Most importantly I started to ask the question, "Why not me?"
I figured he was scoping out the audience to find the most petite female that would put the least amount of strain on his back. My biased friends and family said it was because I am good looking. My favorite answer was- He was attracted to my energy and I needed to appreciate that about myself and how I present my energy to others.
This is my call- I tried for months to get a clip of this event. It would make a huge difference in my daily life if I had a picture of this happening. I would keep it on my desk or frame it on my wall. I have researched it to death. No one has been able to help me thus far. Do any of my ActiveRain friends have any suggestions on how to obtain a video or pic from this event? It would mean the world to me.
