The Downtown core of Sequim, though small, is packed with charming, locally-owned stores, each with their own unique personality.  Whether you’re looking to spruce up your home or garden, are looking for locally made lavender products to enjoy year-round, or whether you’re in search of new art or old antiques, Sequim is the place to find it.  One of our favorite little home & garden stores is Over the Fence.  This wonderful store, which now occupies a new and much larger space, features a nursery filled with gardening tools, outdoor pots, plants, and more.  Their home furnishings section of the store features a wide assortment of goods, including wall art, kitchen gadgets and furnishings, a whole room of the best cards, personal care items and so much more. This local store is famous for being the place to find the perfect gift, and is a must on your list when it comes to local shopping in sequim.  Another local favorite farm & garden store is the Clallam County Co-Op.  Step through the doors of this local gem, and it will be like stepping back in time to the days before big box retailers came to town.

If your idea of a great local shopping experience is hunting for high quality antiques and consignment deals, then Sequim has four stores for you to browse. Anne’s Antique’s and Mouse Trap Antiques are two wonderful places to find a special addition to your life, as is the Sequim Consignment Company.  If you’re a book lover, then don’t miss Hart’s Fine Books.  This charming and eclectic bookstore is truly an original, carrying a range of used, unusual and out-of-print books, as well as a fine selection of books by Pacific Northwest authors.  Art lovers won’t want to miss their chance to browse the collections at Blue Whole Gallery and Northwest Native Expressions, and you of course can’t leave Sequim without some kind of Lavender product to enjoy throughout the year.  There are plenty of stores offering their specialty take on this wonderful product, but favorites include Jardin du Soleil and Purple Haze Lavender Farm, which has a storefront conveniently located in downtown.
