Scenes from the 2015 Cedaredge Dog Jog
The fourth annual Cedaredge Dog Jog and Pet Palooza was held on Halloween day. Of course all of the dogs and their people had a fun time.
You could participate in either a one or a two mile walk/run. After that there was a costume contest with several different categories and a best trick contest.
The dog maze was back this year, and so were the Alpacas. Aspen Trails Campground served up a great lunch at the end of it all.
The campground is a nice place to hold this event, and Grand Mesa provides a wonderful backdrop.
Everyone got a t-shirt, and the dogs got a bandanna.
The fall weather was beautiful...just a bit cold in the morning, but the day warmed up quickly.
Lucky and I did the one mile walk. We even took a shortcut. Actually we got lost and ended up taking the short way to the finish line. It was all Lucky's fault. He said to go right when we should have gone left.
Lucky was dressed up as a court jestor. We didn't win any of the costume contests. There were too many other people far more creative than us.
Check out Little Miss Muffet in the picture to the left. In the picture on the right you can see her partner in crime...the spider.
The Cedaredge Dog Jog and Pet Palooza has become an annual fall event. If you missed it this year, be sure to put it on your calendar for next year. Come along for the fun even if you don't have a dog. The proceeds from each event go to help an area animal charity.
