29th Annual Turkey Trot in Delray Beach is November 21, 2015!

Mark your calendar for this year’s Annual Turkey Trot in Delray Beach. delray beach turkey trot

What: The 29th Annual Turkey Trot 5K and run

When: Saturday, November 21, 2015

Where: Anchor Park, 340 South Ocean Blvd in Delray Beach

Time: Registration is from 6 to 7:20 A.M.

5K Run begins at 7:30 A.M.

5K Walk begins at 7:35 A.M.

You can register online!

Registration fees:

5K Run 14 and under $10 (Pre-registration)

$15 (on or after Nov. 14)

5K Run 15 up $25 (Pre-registration)

$30 (on or after Nov. 14)

5K Walk 14 and under $5 (Pre-registration)

$10 (on or after Nov. 14)

5K Walk 15 up $20 (Pre-registration)

$25 (on or after Nov. 14)

All proceeds will benefit the Keith Staghn Feed the Hungry Thanksgiving for families in Delray Beach, Boynton Beach and Boca Raton.

Keith Straghn died of heart illness in 1995 at the age of 36. It was he who founded the annual Feed the Hungry Dinner in Pompey Park at Thanksgiving. The Keith Straghn Memorial Foundation and the Annual Turkey Trot help to fund the annual dinners.

Tips:

*It’s still warm in November so dress appropriately and hydrate!!!

* There will be free metered parking at Sandoway and Ingraham parks from 6 AM to 9 AM.

* Please … no roller blades, skateboards, baby joggers/strollers or dogs.

Please note that non-perishable food items will be collected.

Good morning Kathy. With a high of 59 this coming Sunday I long for a warmer climate. With then event being so close to Thanksgiving I just don't think I can make it. Hope there is a good turnout.

This looks like a wonderful event that will help many people in your community. I like the fact that it is not on Thanksgiving Day exactly because too many of the Turkey Trot races are on Thanksgiving Day and I think that takes away from family time. I hope this event is quite successful.
