North Carolina Ranked #2 In US For Top Business Climate
This is great news and proof NC is on the rise ! Here in Eastern NC we are some of the fastest growing counties in the state and with growth brings jobs and economic prosperity.
I agree with Nina Hollander's post.. NC is the state with alot to offer those with a desire to succeed !
Site Selection has just ranked North Carolina the #2 state in the US for top business climate, as part of its 2015 Top State Business Climate rankings. The #2 ranking pushed North Carolina up one spot from #3 last year. And our neighbor, South Carolina, was ranked #10 in this same survey. Great news for both North and South Carolina! These consistently high rankings for both states only encourage more business growth in the Tar Heel and Palmetto States.
The chart below shows the factors by which states were ranked and noteworthy also are the facts that North Carolina was ranked #2 by Executive Survey and #1 for competitiveness.
This second place ranking by Site Selection comes on the heels of another noteworthy recognition of North Carolina a couple of weeks ago by the US Chamber, which ranked the state in the top ten of most innovative states in the US.
Meanwhile, WalletHub ranked Charlotte, North Carolina as #6 among large U.S. cities with the fastest-growing economies and Raleigh, North Carolina as #9. Not a bad showing with two of our largest cities ranked in the top 10 fastest growing economies for large cities. As part of WalletHub's study of large cities, Charlotte shined in a number of categories:
- Growth in number of businesses: #1
- Working-age population growth: #4
- Population growth: #5
- Job growth: #5
- Unemployment rate decrease: #9
