Liz, there's an ancient Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times".  We're living in interesting times.

What about family values?  Cost of living?  Arms control? Our troops and the war?  I'm sure I could come up with a few more if I put my mind to it.

Brian! Depending on how you look at it - it could be a blessing or a curse!

June:  Family values should be there, may not be unique to 2008 but we need them there! I agree.......Perhaps cost of living - could be the 'economy'?  but thats definitely more specific!  Arms control ia another good one........thank you for adding/sharing and heres the promised treat!

Nice pictures!

Hi Liz...... an interesting list indeed. Being north of the border we would likely have a similar list, but I can't help being amused by #3...... the US has an issue with the falling dollar. In Canada, we have an issue with the RISING dollar..... and it is the same issue that you have. I guess either way you look at it.... it's an issue.

Keep up the great work,

Alan

Chuck.... Chocolate Rain song........?  Neat ...I listened to it...the guy has a great voice!

David....ha ha......well I'm sure you've heard of most of the things on the list......although admittedly there were 2 or 3 people I hadn't heard of!  I think I'll go put links on them so people can catch up on the bios! dorable chocolate face, though...is it ever enough? :-) $12/year and you'll know everything you ever wanted to know!

Cindy...I'm thinking Oprah has more inluence then we think?  hmmm interesting though....I don't know that the list was in any particular order though...At any rate the list is subjective after all its the people of"Entrepreneur Magazine" that made the list!

Alan:  Will I'm up north with you - and there are some ironies.....we were just talking about our Canadian dollar, falling interest rates....and how its still failing to stimulate our economy here.  Our interest rates have dropped another .5 percent this week........and things in real estate are as slow as molasses........Thanks for the kind words.......here we go.....:-)

Well, I would add world hunger and that can start right here in the US.  It's a staggering problem that I think makes people uncomfortable to acknowledge as then they would have to address it in a serious way!  Thanks for this great list.
