Tuesday Travelogue-November 10th
Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our sixty-eighth week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
Making our way alphabetically through our beloved United States, we are almost at the end, with Wisconsin being the state we visit today.
Tom Braatz shows us the flavor of a charming city as well as some history in this piece of localism about Delafield WI.
Creek or Crick? Well she had me had Fish Creek, (as it is SO close to Fishhawk Creek, in my neck-of-the-woods), so I HAD to spotlight this localism post about Gibraltar Wisconsin! MaryKay Shumway shines the light on the locals way of describing it.
We go from the creek to the forest. Well, logging and sleighing to be exact. Bob Crane often takes us to the woods with his expertise being in forestland management, but he also writes copious amounts of localism posts, so many that I could do many Tuesday Travelogues just on those alone! This captures a bit of history. Come see the Rhinelander Museum.
Since I like to show a variety of bloggers, this one is a quickie, but "America's Little Switzerland" got my attention, which is what you want to create with a localism post! Where is that? Well, click on the link to see. Thanks, Scott Larson.
All of that traveling making you hungry? How about some Irish fare in Green Bay, WI? How about Saint Brendans Inn? Greg Dallaire takes us there.
Please don't forget to comment on these blogposts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:
