If you're sick of the same old scenery in West Palm (which, I think, is simply impossible) - whether it be your home, or your vacation spot - you're in luck!
CANVAS has been dubbed the nation's largest outdoor museum show, and it has arrived in West Palm and is providing South Floridians with something they have never seen before! From Nov. 8th - Nov. 22nd, CANVAS will be painting the down with 14 days of interactive art experiences. CANVAS will be showcasing over 20 international artists - from well-known, to up and coming, emerging artists.
These artists will each paint enormous murals on public and private buildings, constructing public sculptures in parks, and creating installations - including, the City Hall Courtyard, Royal Park Bridge, Fern Street, and The Whitney. These murals, luckily for residents and visitors, are all in a walking distance within the Downtown District. Check out this map to create the route that you would most like to see!
What an event to witness! Gather as a art is created right before your very eyes, while supplemented by a program of cultural events in an effort to bring the arts to the public. The two-week exhibition will by highlighted by a menu of exciting VIP receptions, a New York City-style fashion show, a yacht party and more. Additionally, there will be educational seminars with artists and art experts for local schools, and you will be able to vote on artwork that most identifies with the culture of our time.
