Happy Day...New Veteran's Hospital Currently Being Built in Loma Linda CA
There are 1.9 million veteran's living in California so medical facilities are so important especially after the problems detected 2 years ago across the nation.
Such good news that a new Ambulatory Care Center is being built to lease to the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System located on Redlands Boulevard in Loma Linda, between Mountain View Avenue and California Street. The building will be three-stories with 271,000 square feet of space.
The building is projected to hold 500 staff, 2,000 parking spaces and around 50% of all outpatient care visits to the VA Loma Linda. Building to include: Primary Care Women's Health Prosthetics Outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Dental Mental Health Pulmonary Sleep Lab Laboratory Imaging, Cancer Center, Eye Clinic, and Pharmacy.
Loma Linda, CA already has a large VA hospital, the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veteran's Hospital but it is overcrowded and understaffed. It was built in 1977 and suposed to hold 27,000 patients but currently has 77,000 patients. I have been watching this hospital being built and always see the HUGE American flag hanging on the building. It makes me so proud everytime I drive by and see this big flag. I try to pull over and take pictures when I can. Here is a few pictures to share from last month.
Here is a photo showing what it will look like completed. I cannot wait to see it done!
