Elkhart Indiana, a town with big balls…Good food in Elkhart

I have been hearing about these big balls for quite some time and thought that it was time to finally stop in on a day other than a Monday so that I could see them for myself.

No I am not talking about a town with a lot of guts or bravado as some might think with a statement like this, but rather, they have a world famous Italian Restaurant named Per Bacco, a joint made famous by my friends Larry Johnston and Evelyn Johnston . And this little restaurant serves the biggest meatballs in the Midwest.

Not only are they rather large, but they are also very tasty, as are all of the dishes at this fine eating establishment.

So if you would like to take a part in this meatball extravaganza too, give Larry and Evelyn a call, I am sure they will enjoy taking you down to Per Bacco for some very good eating.

I remember a post some time ago when Evelyn posted about the large meatballs.  My husband would certainly enjoyed them. We had some tonight with our spaghetti. My meatballs were very small in comparison to what is in your dish.

Shouldn't it also have a giant elk's heart for its mascot? That would be amazing!
