2015 Thomasville Goodwill Project Chicken Dinner
The Thomasville Police Department is very devoted to giving their all to the community. They will be hosting their 2015 Thomasville Goodwill Project Chicken Dinner this Thursday evening. The Goodwill Project provides much needed clothing (such as warm winter coats) as well as other necessities and toys to local children during the holidays.
The 2015 Thomasville Goodwill Project Chicken Dinner is only $7 per plate. For that, you will receive a delicious chicken dinner with all the fixings. This is the only fundraiser that the Thomasville PD will be hosting to fund their Goodwill Project. The police department's goal is to help anywhere between 70 to 100 local children in our Thomasville community during the holiday season. Last year's dinner raised $8500. They would love it if they could raise more this year. Every bit helps. The more money that is raised translates to more children that will be helped.
The Thomasville Police Department works in conjunction with schools in the Thomasville area to identify children in need. They find out what exactly each individual's needs are and will use the money raised from the 2015 Thomasville Goodwill Project Chicken Dinner to help fulfill these needs. Sometimes, it's a toy or two to put under the Christmas tree. Other times, it is for necessities such as a warm coat, toiletries, new clothes or shoes. These are things that most of us take for granted. For the families of these children, it is a choice between either a warm winter coat for Susie or putting food on the table for the family. They can't afford to do both. But it doesn't have to be that way.
Please purchase your ticket for the 2015 Thomasville Goodwill Project Chicken Dinner. The Police Department will thank you. Families in need will thank you. Fill your belly and your heart with the joy of giving this Thursday night.
