Tuesday Travelogue-November 17th
Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our sixty-ninth week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
Making our way alphabetically through our beloved United States, we are at the end of the map with Wyoming being our very last state to visit. After seeing these posts, I am even more drawn to seeing Wyoming in person someday.
Brenda Whitman seems to be THE localism blogger when it comes to Laramie, Wyoming. Check out this stunning view of Medicine Bow Peak--this is what I'm talkin' about when I say "localism" and Tuesday Travelogue! It warranted the big size of the photo, just so that you can take it all in. Ironically, it was a Thanksgiving Day post!
Another glorious group of photos of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, (a place that I've ALWAYS wanted to go to) was taken by Katerina Gassett on a trip she and her family took there far from her home in Florida. This is certainly not something you see every day.
When I think of Wyoming, I immediately think SNOW. Well, this video doesn't disappoint in that regard! Another view of Jackson Hole, WY thanks to Kent Hobson. You have to watch the whole thing, it's so remarkable what these athletes can do (including a 13 year-old at the end!!! Incredible!!!)
Here's a history lesson about Sheridan, Wyoming and and the Big Horn Mountains, Chief Crazy Horse's home. Brought to you by John Chase.
Here is a photo that I discovered, taken by Brenda Whitman's son in Laramie, WY. "Swirled into Oblivion" ,what is this? Read on to find out. It looks like a natural abstract.
Please don't forget to comment on these blog posts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:
