We are getting a lot of phone calls from people who are saying that their once fixed adjustable rate mortgage will be soon adjusting this Fall 2008.

While some banks such as Countrywide are automatically fixing the rates if applicable, most of the other companies are not yet doing so. If you find yourself in this

situation please don't hesitate to contact me. I am a volunteer for the Southern CA Community Housingworks (NON-PROFIT ORG), and I am making appointments for

clients to speak to loan modification counselors. This is a FREE SERVICE.

Community Housingworks work with the national 1-888-995-HOPE hotline. They will negotiate directly with your bank on your behalf. Again this is a non-

profit organization. So just don't wait. Give us a call or call the HOPE hotline.

Leilani, that sounds like a good organization to work with. I know that will be a very needed service in the upcoming months. I also have heard talk from individuals that have rates that will be adjusting soon. I hope word gets out to many that could use the help of that organization.
