Events at the Westerly Library:
For children in grades 4-6:
  • Poetry writing: July 31
  • Body puppets: August 7
  • The nature of Wilcox Park: August 14
Each runs from 7-9pm and there is no fee but students must register in advance
For children age 5-12:
  • "Magic or Moogic" with Bruce Kalver: August 1 at 10am
  • An environmental program on the Pacatuck River: August 6 at 10:30am
  • "Encyclopedia Brown: Down on the Farm" by the Stage Dogs: August 13 at 10:30am
  • Music by the Hip Hop Ladies: August 24 at 9:30am
Children in Kindergarten and up may sign up for the "Book Buddies" program, which will pair a student in grade 5 or up with a younger child to read together once a week at the library. Children may set up their own schedules. Volunteers are also sought to assist with the program, shelve books and create book displays.
