Thanksgiving Day is a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. For many though, Thanksgiving is just another day without food or shelter. Without feeding initiatives and volunteers, the wonderful taste of a turkey dinner wouldn’t be possible for the homeless or poor.
