Thank you AR, my 300th post...

AS I write my 300th post, I have to say that AR is a fabulous place. I have met some absolutely wonderful people who I now consider friends. Even though I have never met these people face-to-face they are encouraging, helpful, give you a call and walk you through things you don't know how to do. Fantastic people.

That being said, I am dedicating this post to my father...week's left for him. It's OK, I'm dealing with this situation and this is not the point.

The point to this blog is that the friendships you develop from AR are so important. The connections and the associates you meet on here cannot be found elsewhere.

There are people on here who should be writing the books for new Real Estate agents. I want to mention names, but I'm afraid I'll miss someone.

I have met some of the most wonderful people throughout the US because of AR. I have received some fabulous lead's b/c of AR. I have learned more than I would ever learn through a Real Estate course.

The manager's of this site are also very caring people...they want us all to succeed and they want us to learn. They want us to use this site to succeed. That's the point of AR.

The site is a huge resource for agents, lawyer's, mortgage individuals, appraisers, inspectors, and the biggest one of all is referrals. Referral's you say? Yes, It's letting other individual's know your personality, the way you think, your profile.

I have gained so much information from Active Rain that I am taking this, my 300 post to commend the manager's of Active Rain. I thank you!

Thank you. So glad that I met you...and I'll take that as a compliment... :-) AR and I got together on 9/11/07 and it's been full speed ahead!!! Around 87 associations and a multitude of friends...I love it here!

Congratulations my friend on your achievement. Although I don't always know what you're talking about (just kidding!), I enjoy reading your posts and the bantering back and forth. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad - my thoughts and prayers for him and you. Cherish every remaining second with him that you have.

Congrats on the 300. It takes a good bit of dedication. I am also sorry to hear about your father. I lost mine 11 years ago, and think of him almost every day. He inspired me in a lot of ways.

My broker gave us free training on this site last September. I think I am the one who benefited the most. I'm here every night after I cannot talk to customers...it relaxes me and I learn alot.

Karen, And what a fine and appropriate dedication to your Dad. May he and your family receive all the Grace and Strength. Number 300! Great work. I remember reading some of those blogs that started out with "Where the ______ Is Everybody Tonight!"

Now with close to 85,000 members there's always someone up and rummaging through the halls.

Karen, in a word, phenomenal; your 300th post and Active Rain. I'm definitely with you in regards to the value that Active Rain affords us. The caring and kinds souls, the networking and referrals and it's ability to add to my own well being. I'm with you!

Karen, My mother was recently diagnosed with bout number 3 with cancer. Its been almost 20 years since the last bout. Twice breast cancer and this time in her sternum. She starts treatment May 1st. I am like you, not living in the same state as her. I'm in Ohio, she's in Seattle. She's only 66. They say the outcome looks good but everything they are going to do is experimental. You and your father will be in my prayers tonight. I have not lost anyone close to me in my life yet and hope I don't have to face that situation anytime soon. Bless you and your family and have a safe trip

My though's and prayer's are with you as well. Thank you. I used to do the treatment's for you mother's kind of cancer. Do you know what they are giving her? You can email me if you like.

It's tough living out of state...My adult children need me as well as they are very close to my parent's. They are their only living grandparents.

Karen, Thank you for your kindness. My mom seems abit confused about the treatment she is going to receive. I asked her again tonight the names of the what they are going to give her and she said it will be 2 cancer drugs? One is pill form, the other injected and they will do radiation as well. I know she said one med starts with an F? I'm going to find out more tomorrow when I call, my Dad seems to remember every name. She is just very overwhelmed right now. March 15th they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and a week later she found out she has cancer again. I couldn't get your email link to work for me?? I will get back to you with the names as I would like to know from someone with experience in that area what they have to say about the course of treatment.thank you again for your prayers. I can tell you are a very caring person. :-)
