IS YOUR HOUSE NUMBER VISIBLE?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Century 21 Sherlock Homes

When an emergency strikes time is a valuable commodity.  To prevent delay and confusion in an emergency, make sure your house number is plainly visible from the street day and night.

Also your house number should be in four inch high reflective numbers and placed where they can easily be seen.

Remember if they can't find you, they can't help you.

Liz, I am seeing more and more homes in my area with no house numbers at all. Nothing. No numbers on the house and nothing on the curb.  That's just crazy.

I am always dumb founded that people in my neighborhood only have their house numbers on one side of their mailbox.  There's no telling which direction an emergency responder will be coming from on some of these streets.

Sometimes it is almost impossible to find places when their house numbers are too small or not visible at all ! Urgh !

Very good point, Liz.  Our first responders need to be able to find you.
