I have truly enjoyed the Thanksgiving weekend. I answered several calls, emails and requests for information, but I gave this time to my family.
The thought has occurred to me throughout the weekend: " Do we tell our clients, customers and fellow agents how thankful we are for them?" Well, this guy, Steve Houck realizes that without each and every one of these folks, my life would not be as good.
It took 41/2 hours to smoke the turkey on my big green egg grill. I spent the bulk of my time pondering that subject. I received a phone call from a gentleman who was moving his family to the area. As I usually do, I asked him who referred him to me, so that I would know who to thank. Turns out I was the listing agent on the property that his friend bought, not his agent. He was my customer and I will thank him for the referral.
We never know where our business comes from, but I am thankful for all of those folks out there who helped . Without each and every one of them, there would be no turkey to smoke on my grill.
Of course, I'm thankful for all of my blessings, my family, my health and my country among many, many more. The point is: "Do we spend enough time being grateful for those who shape our future?"
