Make sure to go into your scheduled mass emails
and check that everything's “kosher” or correct.

We often see people forgetting to update their scheduled mass emails.
Your emails need to be sent on the right day and at the right time.

We see many Valentine’s Day, Christmas emails, and 1st day of spring emails that are incorrectly set up. Go into your Toolkit and check every campaign you have scheduled.

This is a gentle reminder to check up on them. If you need help, please reach out to us.

Make sure you check that the date, content, date, and time are adjusted.

Your scheduled mass emails are vital in making sure that you remind people who you are, what your services are, and that you care about keeping in touch.

If you are like most real estate agents, then most of your business comes from referrals. Spend 20 minutes per week making sure that your contact information is close at hand for your contacts.

One way to do this is to make sure that that your email campaigns are scheduled and edited correctly. Referrals happen in passing. Make sure that your cell phone number and website URL can be shared with anyone at any time.

And while you are at it, set up a few more email campaigns. People need at least 3 touches per year, and more touches if they are warm leads. Set up those anniversary-of-move-in emails and birthday emails.

Wait just one second though! Before you send out an email inviting your clients to your website, take a moment and make sure your website is in tip-top shape.

The worst thing you can do is bring them to a page that is broken or no longer exists. Click on every link on your website to make sure it leads to somewhere live, useful, and updated. Don’t have broken links on your website.

Internalizing your marketing is great, as it brings your clients back to your website. However, few things look as bad or as careless- as if your links are outdated. This is your brand.

You got them clicking on your website. You got them interested (that's awesome!)- you can’t lose them now because you haven’t updated the front end of your website in a while. What a shame that would be. Your homepage is your website’s first impression to your clients, leads, and past clients. Do not lose people. It is so easy to fix.

Perhaps your widget no longer works. Maybe that website or article you want your leads and clients to check out, does not exist anymore.
We often see agents with websites whose buttons and links- lead to…nowhere.

You always want your website to be useful and professional. Make it a habit to click on the links on your website- and to update them if something does not look right.

Your website should do four things WELL:

1) Brand you as an expert in the areas you work.
2) Provide instant information so your visitors STAY.
3) Should be easy to find, easy-to-use, and easy on the eyes.
4) Build personal relationships with your buyers and sellers so you remain top-of-mind.

If your transactions slow down in the winter months, then now is the best time to make sure your website is the resource it should be.

No broken links. No dead pages. No typos. No weird formatting.

If you focus on making your website fresh, informative, and easy-to-use, then you will succeed. Your website should support your marketing, provide accurate information, and prove how successful you are in your career. When your clients use it, they should remember it. When they remember your website and name, that means you are in the best place you can be: top-of-mind.

Clicking on every link is tedious work, but worth it. I'm always amazed at how links can become broken - but they do!

Scheduling e-mails in advance is a real time-saver.    And it's always a good idea to check all of the links in our websites.    Great advice - thanks!

Thanks for writing this time-sensitive post.  I agree that must be periodically clicking on every link of our website to make sure  things are running smooth.  Now is the perfect time to work on this and I'm looking forward to another successful year ahead.

It's so easy to sit back and expect everything to be smooth sailing but if you have not checked it yourself, it needs checking and this time of year is a good time to get organised for the year ahead, thanks for the gentle reminder!
