 Good Friday morning Bob. Other than kindling for fire, I don't have too much use for pinecones. They do make nice tree ornaments though.

Hi Bob Crane ,  Those are great ideas for the use of pine cones. Kent Temple  has some great examples with his photos.  We have pine trees in our yard, giving us plenty to work with, but more than we can handle.  Since we put in our fire pit, we found that they make excellent fire starters, for when we grill out.  I have been saving them from the yard for such an occasion.  I can also make some of Kent's decorations for the Holidays.
