Hernando Beach is a small residential waterfront community just north of Tampa, Florida on the Gulf Coast of Florida. We may be a small community but we have great community spirit!
Especially during the holidays, the people in Hernando Beach show off their homes with festive decorations and participate in the various holiday events in the community. There is even a friendly contest over the best holiday decorations.
Each year, there is a Christmas boat parade that begins at the Hernando Beach Yacht Club and winds its way through the water ways in Hernando Beach. Neighbors plan their parties around the parade so their friends from other areas can take part in the enjoyment.
For several years now, the Hernando Beach Property Owners Association makes sure that every year, the main street through Hernando Beach is decorated with holiday lights. The lights were purchased several years ago with donations from residents and local businesses and are loved by everyone!
Finally, Hernando Beach neighbors come together for an annual holiday social to celebrate the season. The property owners association provides the meat and everyone else brings a covered dish or dessert for a great old fashioned potluck!
Great food, great fun, great people - it's good to be home for the holidays in Hernando Beach, Florida!
