Confused on some of the MLS listing jargon? Three terms that can be difficult for Buyer's and Seller's to understand can be found under Heating and Cooling on some MLS listings.
- Gas Pack - a combined heat and air conditioning unit that sits outside on a concrete slab. All the duct work is under the house. The furnace is gas and the air conditioner is electric.
- Heat Pump - Both the heat and air are electric.
- Split Unit - the furnace is inside and the air conditioner is outside.
With these terms better clarified, the Seller can be more confident in knowing their home is listed correctly in this area, and the Buyer can consider purchasing a home more confidently.
