Contain Yourself ~ Inspiration Series
Do you ever stop and think about your own container? Your container being your inner-most soul. The part of you that makes you, YOU!
Your container is so precious and important yet many of us run ourselves ragged without ever giving this container the love, rest and protection that it needs. We give to others, we allow others to "take" from our container and we often neglect to fill it up again. Just like an engine that needs to be re-filled, your own container must be cared for and re-charged from time to time.
When we allow our innermost being to be depleted, we run the risk of becoming burnt-out, frustrated, depressed and yes, even physically ill. We wonder "what happened" when this occurs and many times never even stop to consider that we need to pay attention to this inner place. However, when we take the time to honor ourselves and take a moment to allow ourselves to heal, rest and to be appreciated, everything can take on a new light.
Recently I took a much-needed trip by myself on a women's retreat to a remote place. I didn't know anyone else there except for the woman leading it. It was a true adventure that taught me that giving myself permission to take care of myself is one of the best gifts that I could have ever given to myself!
Take a look deep inside yourself and take an assessment. How is your container right now? Does it need a tune-up? Is it depleted?
You are important and protecting your container is vital. Right now, decide what it is that you need to do to "Contain Yourself"! Life is precious and so are you!
