This is how you know its worth it?

What are the steps in determining whether a problem is worth solving?  Before you commit to it, that is.

  1. Determine "Is this a good use of our time?"
  2. Determine "Do we have the right staff to follow through on this problem?"
  3. Determine "Do we have the resources to resolve this issue?"
  4. Determine "Is this a good use of our money?"

Its always good to evaluate something before jumping into something without thinking it through.

Hope this helps.

Lu, also "Is this problem worth solving (on its own merits)?" and "what will this mean for us if we do solve it?" Steve

Good advice. Attempting to solve a problem without first evaluating the situation can be costly in both time and money.

I agree with the general consensus. Would the solving the problem bring about a benefit to someone or something.
