Oh ... Is That The TURD Thing?
I may sound like a broken record but I hope I never stop feeling this way. The reason I love working as a San Jose real estate broker is the people.
Ironically, the people are also what I do not like about listing and selling San Jose homes. People are people. Most people are kind, caring, and compassionate ... and some are not.
The same applies to real estate agents. Real estate agents are people too. Let's face it ... people have been known to blur the lines of humanity. People behave badly. People do harm to others.
BUT, those people are the kinds of people I avoid in my San Jose real estate business. I am not always successful with that ... sometimes I find myself in a snare trap. Thankfully, over the course of 13 years that has only happened a handful of times. One of the agents who put me in his snare trap is now facing criminal charges. But, I digress.
Now, about that TURD Thing and why I love listing San Jose homes for sale. While the escrow officer and I were sitting at the conference table with the sellers, signing off documents, and explaining what the sellers were signing ... Mrs. Seller said,
"Oh, is that the TURD thing?"
The escrow officer and I both knew she was referring to TRID. In a manner of seconds we were all laughing ... and the escrow officer said ...
"It sure is. That's how we all feel about it ... it's definitely a TURD thing."
Listing and selling San Jose Homes is serious business. Yet, there is no reason not to enjoy some light-hearted fun with the people who entrust us with a very large financial transaction.
We can roll with TRID just as easily as we can roll with the TURD thing. San Jose homes are as unique and individual as the people who buy and sell them. People are why I love working as a San Jose real estate broker.
