I hear some people who claim on- line shopping is killing retail

I hear people talk about the growth of on-line shopping killing retail.

But let's take a look back shall we.

In the early 1900's a catalog company come onto the scene.

Montgomery Wards!

You could order right out of the catalog and not leave the hose but to mail in the order.

Along came Sears...and there were many many others.

Right now we are just into a new generation of out-of-store buying.

Good Morning William Feela

You have put the subject in full perspective. Companies that make it easier or more convenient and can deliver help change the landscape.

Very good and valid point.  And personally, the more fraud we run into as a result of our online shopping efforts, the less we'll want to do it.  Just my two cents.

I remember when my kids were young, I did a whole lot of shopping out of the Sears and Roebuck Christmas Wish Book.  I'd circle items, and then phone Sears and place the order.  I'd pick it up at a local store.  It was so much easier than trying to shop with a flock of young children in toe.
