Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our 73rd week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
Today I decided to visit my group, "Travellers (or Travelers) in the Rain" to find some places to take you, randomly. I'll bet some of you have already enjoyed these local haunts through the eyes of our terrific travel writers, but heck, when they're good, they're worth seeing again!
First stop, Norman Rockwell's town! A Stockbridge, MA holiday, brought to you by Sheila Anderson.
Let's go somewhere exotic (Galapagos Islands) for a moment, shall we? Naked boobies, anyone??
I am totally smitten with these darlings, and I want a pair!
Thanks, Dick Greenberg, for taking us on another one of your adventures!
We now go from boobies to crabs...and critters.
One of the many delights Sharon Lee shares with us as she knocks another trip off of her Bucket List!
Back to Christmas gatherings and places to visit during this holiday season. How about Yuletide at Winterthur? This is the DuPont House, and Carolyn Roland always offers a bit of history along with her collage of yummy photos.
Roy Kelley mentions Yuletide at Winterthur as well--must be fabulous this time of year!
Lest we get too chilly, why don't we bask in the sunshine of one of Ron and Alexandra Seigel's many trips?
This one in particular, shows an array of fabulous photos and history of many famous and near-famous (the Seigels) who have been to San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, CA.
Happy December, stay warm and enjoy the indoors or go to somewhere sunny if the mood strikes!! See you next week for another Tuesday Travelogue.
Please don't forget to comment on these blog posts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:
