My top picks for things to do in OKC in December 2015
I love being able to use Active Rain for sharing information with other real estate professionals! Being involved with so many civic and community groups in Oklahoma City, I find it a joy to share the wonderful things that are happening in our great city. So what are a few good ideas to kick off your December in OKC and enjoy fun activities?
- Bricktown Canal Lights: Always a favorite since our Bricktown area developed a nice canal and retail/dining on the shores of the canal. Our water taxis will take you on a tour of the holiday lights of Bricktown! This runs November 28 through Jan 1. The light display is free to the public. Also, check out the Free Water Taxi Rides on certain nights of the week throughout the season.
- Historic Parlor Car Tours: Oklahoma Science Museum is a favorite of visitors to OKC. Even people who have lived here for many years are surprised at the great features and attractions of this museum. The Parlor Car exhibit is pretty cool! Our Science Museum Oklahoma will offer tours of its historic parlor car throughout the holiday season. Tours will be conducted throughout the day from Nov. 27 to Jan. 1. The museum is open on New Year’s Day and tours of the car are included with regular admission. So there is no reason to spend New Year's Day at home thinking that everything is closed. Come to the Science Museum and check this great event out!
- Ice Skating at the Devon Ice Rink in Downtown OKC: It is always a top pick for winter holiday fun! Devon Ice Rink is located in front the the Civic Center Music Hall grounds. Bundle up, grab your friends and family and enjoy a great day of fresh air and skating in the hippest and prettiest spot in town.
