While
real estate has been showing hopeful signs, the situation isn’t yet to the point where homeowners can sell their South Florida homes with ease. In addition to patience and flexibility, sellers should considering employing additional tactics such as the ones mentioned below regardless of whether they’re selling a
home in Miami, San Francisco or Detroit.
Use the Internet. The traditional MLS system only permits a limited amount of information when the whole point of selling a home is to give prospective buyers as much information as possible. Post on a blog, use leading industry websites such as Zillow, don’t be modest when uploading pictures and always use as many related free and legit resources as possible.
Perks and appearance go a long way. It’s been said before but first impressions are everything with buyers. The more inviting and the closer the home looks to brand new the better. Since buying a home always comes with several extra fees, choosing to pay for them out of one’s own pocket can convince an interested buyer looking to save. Also, hosting brunches or dinner parties designed to attract professionals and buyers alike can also work to a seller’s favor.
Choose the right person for the job. Searching on the internet for a real estate agent returns thousands of qualified professionals but one size does not fit all. One agent may have more experience in selling a home during tougher times and have better sales figures. Always look for a top seller with the smallest “gaps” between successful transactions.
Determine a competitive price. The lower a seller is willing to go in price, the more it opens up the home to
interested buyers with lesser incomes and the less chances of the property sitting idly on the market “gathering dust” so to speak. Losing some money may be beneficial in the long run.
Great points for the consumer, I like the post. Well done.
