The Texas Real Estate Group was recently adopted by Marchel Peterson of Spring, Texas and Liz Carter of Katy/Houston. The group is now blooming like Texas Wildflowers! We are turning into a "Community" in the true sense of the word. Our first meeting in Bandera, Texas was recent and we had a wonderful time. We met, talked AR, ate, ate, and ate.
My husband, Scott Brooks and I turned a 5 1/2 hour drive into an 8 hour drive home because of all the gorgeous wildflowers! I would point, say ooh, awe, and off the road he would go! I am pleased to share these pictures of our trip home. I also want to say...
Thank You to The Texas Real Estate Groupfor challenging us in the quest for quality local information. Localism and our readers will benefit! Please enjoy the show!
This was taken in good old Huntsville, Texas. The Hot Spot in Texas to view wildflowers. Our interstates are blanketed with color. When April rolls around, don't miss the exciting colors and natures ability to paint our world! No one needs to wear rose colored glasses. This is just the most beautiful sight your naked eyes can enjoy!
The Yucca is one of the most beautiful presentations
mother nature provides!
And, about as wild as it gets!
This is our world from a wildflowers' perspective. Yea for sunshine and Active Rain!

Hi Marchel, thank you! We had a wonderful time. As we were driving we came to a homestead that was fenced and covered with flowers. They had several (some goofy) things set up! I thought they looked so right sitting there. I can't take any credit for that...they were already there!
I am learning everything by the try, try and try again method. I had this program on my new pooter and I felt my way through the loading on youtube. It just takes a lot of time.
I hope you are doing great and I'm glad to hear from you! Later in the rain~Deb
Deb - I too agree you did a great job with the video. I can see how you could turn a 51/2 hr drive into 8, the flowers were beautiful, oh how I love spring.
Jennifer, it really was the perfect day. We slept late, had brunch with Ricki and Don Eichler and then toodled slowly home. Thank you for stopping by girlfriend! Later in the rain~Deb
It sure was a pretty drive home, and I enjoyed stopping for you to take those pics. I had no idea you would turn them into something like this. Wow! We all need to have those perfect days from time-to-time.
Hey Lissa, It was fun! I am going to try a video next...once I do these I'll get over it fast probably! It's fun to learn though. Later in the rain~Deb
Thanks Trey! We chose a wonderful time for our get together. We couldn't have had better weather! The flowers all loved it! Again, I like the new pic.
Thank you Georgina! Now, that's something coming from Hawaii! I love reading your posts and looking at the gorgeous coastline and incredible fauna. I appreciate the compliment! \
Deb my friend, this is a sweet post, and a great viedo, thanks. By the way who is th young girl in the other viedo and the dog? So after reading and watching this, I forgive you for esploding my post with the wedding cakes ). It was the staw that brook the cows back :)...let me know what I we should do? L
Liz, I didn't do it! It was like that when I loaded mine. I kept the margins carefully so you would be able to see the cakes all on one screen! Really! I promise! We'll talk later. I'm sorry that happened. Later in the rain~Deb
Liz, I'm so glad you two got that fixed! It looks great! I'm looking forward to another drive into the hill country! Won''t be long now! Later in the rain~Deb
Beautiful and thoughtful post. Inspiring that you drove that far and made the most of it with natures beauty. I have two yucca's in my back yard, can't wait till they bloom.
Thank you so much Christina! I so wanted to enter your current contest too but I've been crazy busy! It's a good busy though...um, Real Estate busy! It'll keep us eating!
I hope you have a great weekend and I'll see you Later in the rain~Deb
Thank you Don! I loved the music even though I had no idea what they were saying! The song is called Din Din Wo and it's about the love for a child. I can't even tell you what language this is. I just know it's pretty and the feeling is there.
Go give that lovely wife of yours a hug for me! Later in the rain~Deb
Hello my wildflower new friend, this is even better than the first time I watched it :). Should have mine on in about an hour, I hope, I hope, I hope...my first attempt at a slide show. Kisses, L
Liz, you ARE very creative and I can't wait to see what you've put together! It's fun isn't it? I love learning how to use this new technology! Cool stuff! Later in the rain~Deb kisses back
Thank you Ceil! I really had fun with this. No more careers please! It's a fun hobby though. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! We'll be seeing you soon! Later in the rain~Deb
Judi, Ju, that might take us a while! We should do this by phone with pooters in hand but I can teach you! One of these days soon! Later in the rain~Deb
Vanessa, Thank you. The camera doesn't do it justice by any means...they're all gone now (pout, pout)
Deb, my friend, I've chosen your post to feature because of the fact you have so well pointed out our group has grown into a great one, with quality post being written, and friendships made. I hope people get that and not think it's because of the outstanding job you did on the contest. Guess either way it's a winner :), I'm just so super proud of the way everyone is "blossoming"...could not help myself with that one. You're great, keep up the good work. By the way leave me a comment with a link to that post that gal wrote about how wonderful you are. I thought I had bookmarked it and can't find it. L
DEB! W O W-- THAT was just fantastic! ONE OF THESE DAYS......I am going to lean how to add all the "cha-cha's" to my blogs. I'm slowly but surely learing a few things, but THIS MeMaw is SLOW!!!
Great post, I vote for YOU in the contest!
Here's my Rose award to you from my garden in Paradise, TX.
Wow, Deb....these pictures and the video are great! They makes me proud to be from Texas. I bet you had a lot of fun taking the pictures.
I was gone from the AR for about a month, and I've come back feeling like I've got a lot of new technology to learn. All the changes you have made look really good. Your background is interesting. Is it ballons or bubbles?
I agree with you about Liz and Marchel turning this group super exciting for the rest of us. You have some awesome pictures. We didnt have too many wildflowers around me so that part was disappointing.
Hey JuJu! I did read Sally's post but I didn't learn it there. I just guessed girl! You're sweet enough to be a JuJu. If felt natural. Have a wonderful Mother's Day! Later in the rain~Deb
BWP, how are you? Is everything going well for you and Carl? It's getting plain old hot here. All our flowers are burned up and they are getting ready to mow. Lord willing we will see many more springs. You take care and I'll see you Later in the rain~Deb
Debs, good guess -- I guess it does feel natural, doesn't it.
Debs, have a great Mother's Day!!! I'm being taken out for a Mother's Day Brunch, then, my Son & his girlfriend are coming over to make "gourmet pizza" for us. Sounds like fun. . . although, I bet I'll have to clean the kitchen after he's finished cooking. :( Oh well, it's worth it!!! One daughter is in New Jersey, the other will be out of town visiting her Mother-in-Law.
Ju Ju, I hope you had a great Mother's Day weekend. I didn't do much on Sunday and I enjoyed it. gourmet pizza sounds wonderful especially followed up by your bread pudding! I hope you had fun. My daughter gave me a certificate for a one hour massage! Wow. I won't be able to walk after that! It's going to spoil me. You take care and stay in touch! Later in the rain~Deb
Deb, glad you had a good Mother's Day -- I didn't do much either. Got dressed up and went to the Petroleum Club for their fabulous Mother's Day Brunch. Then came home and straightened and cleaned a little.
Ohhhh, that massage will certainly spoil you -- you might not be able to walk after you get it -- you'll be soooo relaxed. My B'day's coming up -- I'm hoping for a nice massage and facial gift certificate. I have a small referral commission coming in -- I might treat myself to a facial and massage. :)
Dancing in the Rain . . .
OKAY YOU TWO (JuJu and Deb) you're making me hungry! I came in from my Dad's for a couple of days, got on here to see what was happening and here ya'll are talking about TWO of my favorite things.....BREAD PUDDING AND A MASSAGE!!!!
If the good Lord willing, I have two small closings on Friday and I think I'm just going to treat myself and head out to Hot Springs, ARK for a long weekend. Bathhouse Row......here I come!!!!!!!
Ya'll stay sweet. It's RAINING HERE..... SO, be safe!
Hey Kathy! It's been raining here too all day. Thus, I've spent quite a while on this thing. I can't wait for the massage! How's your dad? Everything okay? I hope so. You stay safe too my friend.
Hey Kathy, LOL -- you got my nickname!!! LOL -- oh boy, the cat is out of the bag now.
Hope your Dad is doing well. Kathy my bread pudding recipe is posted here on my blog -- haven't you already been there. So go ahead and make it for a special treat to yourself, then take that drive up to Hot Springs for that weekend off.
You know, that sounds like fun -- hey Debs, we should plan a "girls only weekend away for all of us AR ladies"! Hot Springs sounds good, or we could go to Lake Charles and meet up with Derenda & Mary Kay (Lake Charles bloggers) -- they'll show us a good time in beautiful Lake Charles. Kathy, can we count you in??? I know Ceil will definitely go to Lake Charles with us! I bet Liz & Marchel & Ricki will too!!!
Now you're talkin' JuJu. BTW, one of my passwords today was jujube...guess who I thought of? Lake Charles huh? Now, how am I going to talk Scott into letting me go without him? Hummm...
Deb, those were fabulous photos. I had no idea there were so many wildflowers in Texas. I especially loved the one with your crox in the photo. Thanks for sharing your ride home.
You're welcome Nancy and thank you for coming by! We all had fun entering.
Ronda, Thank you for the compliment! I am using a very affordable Fuji FinePix S5200 that I acquired from eBay! I got a great deal on it and I like it because the Auto button is about the only one I have to hit!!! It takes really nice close ups and so far we have been able to put together a seamless virtual tour from it.
Gena, there is about everything you could want to find in Texas!! You're welcome and I'm glad you appreciated the crox. I try to get a shot of my feet wherever I go so I remember and prove I was there! No matter what outing we go on you will see a shot of my feet! I know I'm wierd. I know.
Deb, Congratulations on First Place!!! This is absolutely beautiful and so well done. There are a few things on here that I need for you to teach me. We'll have to get on the phone and the computers one day/evening and you can talk me thru them.
Dancing in the rain--JuJu
Hey JuJu, I can teach you about the floating logo but don't ask about the slide show at this point. I felt my way through it. Once I hit that button I have not gone back! Anyhow, thank you for the kudos. There were many, including yours that were worthy of recognition! We'll talk. You take care and I'll see you Later in the rain~Deb PS. my little password is yucca...how funny
Not a problem dear...soon we will all be using them! You can design 100.s of different ones so we will never duplicate a thing! If you can do the slide show you're doing better than me. I could figure it out again with enough hours and the desire but...
