Show Us Your Home for the Holidays, (Contest, Season 2)
I want to thank Debbie Laity for hosting this December, 2015 Contest. I want to share the decorations, inside and outside of our home, that help light up the Christmas Holiday Season, for the bright-eyed Children around our neighborhood. We enjoyed having 30 children sharing the decorations and the festive activity on making Gingerbread houses last Saturday, shown in a previous blog.
Elkhart has a Winterfest Parade, which I discussed in a previous blog, followed by the lighting of the city tree and ice skating at NIBCO Ice and Water Park. Here are a few other outside decorations in the area.
We were fortunate to get about a half inch of snow last night, so we could get some pictures with holiday lights under a snowy environment. Most of it was gone by sundown and no snow is in the forecast for the rest of 2015.
I enjoyed participating in this December Contest and am looking forward to more contests in the future.
