You need not to go the drugstore or cosmetic  counter to become more beautiful. Sometimes, the best beauty products may be found in your very own kitchen. Try out these natural beauty products.

 

Aloe Vera. Science today has found that aloe vera has vitamins that are capable of acting through the skin, as well as amino acids, enzymes and beta-carotene. It is most often used as moisturizer and skin  softener, as well as a general healing gel.

Basil. This is an air freshener, insect repellant and fragrance. To some extent, it is capable of masking the odors of onion and garlic in the breath. In skin preparations, it serves the purpose of being antiseptic.

Chamomile. This often blended into shampoos and conditioners as a softening agent whith cleansingproperties. Traditional lore has it that when put  into an amulet, chamomile fulfills wishes – do you wantto look more beautiful?

Garlic. This is the cure-all with just one undesirable side – effect: its smell. It is an ideal ingredient to free radicals, removing visible signs of aging of the skin.

Ginseng. This is sited as a miracle cure for everything from nausea to memory loss. It is also added to number of cosmetic preparations.

Oatmeal. Oats make a great facial and body scrub. High in Vitamin E, oatmeal adds a glow to tired skin and is an excellent moisturizer and protective, soothing shield.

Banana. This fruit is a fabulous mask for hair and face. It has many conditioning minerals and vitaminsand also anti-aging properties. It has been used through the years all over the world as a moisturizer.

Cucumbers. Make some cream for yourself that has cucumber as its main ingridient. The smell and freshness  is amazing! Place slices of cucumber on the eye areas. This will not just reduce puffiness, but it will also sooth you. Grated cucumber, mixed with dried and ground orange peel, and a little water is a very effective natural healer.

Carrot. Carrot is rich in Vitamin A which is good for the eyes and skin. Lack of Vitamin A results in thickening of the skin, loss of texture, aggravation of acne and premature wrinkling of the skin. You can drinkthe following combinations with carrot: 1) carrot and spinach 2 glasses; 2) carrot, lettuce and spinach- 2 glasses every morning.

Green beans. Take some green beans, mash them up and add a little plain yogurt. Massage this green mixture into your skin and leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water to get the smoothest skin.

Tomatoes. For oily skin, mash up a recipe tomato and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes Rinse wth warm (not hot) water.

Honey. Apply pure honey ( straight from the bottle) to your face and neck. Allow it to set until dry ( about 15 minutes). Rinse with very warm water.

Wonderful idea. I have one more item to add from my fridge - Bulgarian yogurt. Great to soothe sunburned skin. I am a fan of cucumber slices on your face, too. Especially, when I am making cucumber-an-yogurt cold soup. :)
