Kokku.org - We have a new recipient that needs our help.....

Hey Everyone,

We have another Kokku recipient that is in need of our help.

Michael Long is one of the coolest people I've met. We were first introduced to each other at a business networking meeting. We were in a business networking group together for quite a few years. I know the character of this man, and I've always been impressed by him.

Have you every met one of those people that you immediately trust explicitly? Michael is one of those people. He is a financial advisor, and is so true to his craft. He's done so many things to help other people in his life. I remember being so impressed when I learned he was a volunteer member for the Coast Guard, and also a member of the Free Masons.

I just learned that Michael was diagnosed with ALS (also known as Lou Gherigs Disease). This is an awful disease of which there is no current cure. For those of you who do not know about it, it basically shuts down the functions of your body slowly.

Michael is going to fight like hell for himself and also for his peers that currently suffer from this disease. He is going to really push the envelope to try and see if there is a way he can beat this. This fight is going to involve intervenal/experimental treatments, of which is not covered by insurance.

Michael is starting to feel the effects of the disease and will hopefully start the experimental treatments soon, but needs our help.

For those of you who know me, you trust me enough when I say Michael is one of THOSE people. The kind that we all want to be when we grow up. The kind we all aspire to be.
